Welp, so much for bowling tonight. I guess I'm gonna go back to the ER again and try to find out what's up with these chest pains getting worse and so much more frequent.
I love how the VA is now required by law (see below) to refer me to an outside, local, provider for any wait longer than 30 days for an appointment. Hell, I'm also eligible because I have to travel more than 40 miles, as well. Yet my original appointment was June 26th, and it's only getting worse, and even when I called and tried to get the VA Choice program people to hook me up, they couldn't because 'I wasn't on the list'.
This is pissing me the fuck off. What the fuck happens to my son if I up and die? It's not like I have any backup here.
It appears that the VA Healthcare system and Choice program is bound up by pointless procedure to be able to do anything in my cardiac situation of their creation. Talked to 4 agencies today who all said "Thanks for your service, but there isn't jack shit we can do to help you get in to your cardiology appointment tomorrow, nor to resolve this situation in any way."So yeah, time to go to the local walk-in clinic, and see if they can get me a quicker referral to a cardiologist. Of course, this will rack up more bills that I have no hope of repaying any time soon. Two verified EKG abnormalities, and at least one heart condition going on, and this is the best they can do. My new cardiology appointment through the VA isn’t scheduled until Oct. 20th of this year. Give me a break.
Pro-bono lawyer time. At the very least I've got a physical and mental suffering case going on here, not to mention the simple fact of the VA Choice laws being blatantly disregarded here.
By the way, people, I want to make a point here that I hope might bring some understanding about government healthcare. While the VA Healthcare System has some very significant issues, these problems are due to chronic and severe underfunding by congress, not due to government healthcare being a bad thing in general. How is any organization (private or government) supposed to function at this level of inadequate funding? It effects everything from the caliber of professionals that they can hire, to simple understaffing, to outdated technology, to continuing education and current applicable procedures and research for their professionals. Do not take this as a rebuke of government funded medicine, which I still fully support. What I don't support is the greedy, lobbyist-catering dipshits in congress (not to mention the president sitting on important VA Healthcare legislation while he golfs).

Old Lady Words...
They are building a theocratic, racially pure oligarchy and they are building it quickly. So far they have shown no respect or concern for human rights or the right of any living thing to exist. In their minds, if you are not a White, wealthy Christian you are disposable. They don't care if all the ecosystems throughout the world are destroyed. They don't care if all the animals die or if there are no fish left in the sea. This is what I am getting from the Trump administration. I'm not saying that Donald #Trump himself believes these things but those that control him do.
Since everything they do seems to be geared towards making the wealthy, more wealthy, I think the only way to defeat them is to refuse to buy what they are selling. We must build systems that give us an alternative to what they are offering. We must keep our money away from them and if we end up with only charter schools then we must create alternative schools. If we must drive our cars then don't buy things packaged with oil based products. When we need groceries buy them from local farmers and ranchers or set up a distribution system to have those foods brought to our neighborhoods. I know it sounds crazy and cumbersome but I don't see any way out of this other then to financially starve them to death.
Wouldn't it be great if we were able to convince employers to stop taking federal taxes out of our checks and if we had 150 million tax payers refusing to pay taxes?
*It's the final battle for #StandingRock. You will see how much the powers that be are willing to disregard human rights by watching what happens to the Water Protectors at Standing Rock in the next couple weeks.
Good night everyone!*

#Military #support for a #president, including the military staff assigned to keeping the "nuclear football" nearby, requires close proximity to the commander in chief, which is why the Pentagon needs to rent a more expensive space closer to the #penthouse where Trump resides when he's in New York.
According to Jared Horowitz, who works for the company responsible for available commercial space at Trump Tower, the floors available to rent -- with the average floor space running between 13,500 to 15,500 square feet -- cost about $1.5 million a year. #Trump Tower is owned by the Trump Organization.
